November and December are usually the best time for display ads sites (unless you have a seasonal site that gets traffic in other months).
Most of my sites benefit from the high RPMs, making November the best month in 2021.
The Redirect Experiment has Worked
In July 2021, I decided to change the domain of one of my sites (Site #1 in this income report).
I did this as the name I chose was for a very tiny niche and I wanted to cover more topics on the same site.
So I bought a new domain and redirect the original site to this new domain.
And things went south for a few weeks (income declined by ~50%).
Finally, things have picked up.
In November, the site grew by ~57%. The traffic and income are back to the old levels (before redirecting).
I have expanded the site and added more categories, and some of the articles in these new categories have already started ranking on the first page of Google.
New Case Study Site – The Freefall Continues
I bought a site (whyrabbits.com) from Motion Invest, hoping to grow it and flip it later.
As of now, things aren’t looking good.
After I redesigned the site and improved some of the articles, the site has dropped significantly in rankings.
The traffic is down by more than 50%.
While I continue to add content to the site, I don’t expect any miracles. If things don’t look better in the next 6 months, I will have to put it aside (in the pile of failed sites).
On the other hand, if I see some improvement in the next few months I can continue to work on it.

What Am I Reading/Learning?
In November 2021, our book club chose the book – “The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel van der Kolk.
It’s about how our body and mind deal with trauma and unpleasant incidents in life. It’s highly rated on Amazon and Good reads, and if this topic interests you, it does have some good insights.
Overall, I found it quite intense, and at times it got too technical for me.
